Message from Ipswich Mayor Paul Pisasale

“Are you too busy to make money?”

We often get caught up in the processes of running a business and forget to pause and take stock of how the business is running.

It is important to look beyond the workplace for fresh ideas and new thinking.

Ipswich City Council is keen to identify issues affecting business development in the region via a series of surveys.

Surveys will take place twice a year and are conducted by an experienced survey company. I urge you to take a few moments to take part in the “Business Have Your Say” surveys so that we can all benefit from the shared knowledge the survey results will bring.

This project is supported financially by the Ipswich Chamber of Commerce, the Bremer TAFE and MAX Employment, as well as numerous other organisations who have generously agreed to support this project by promoting and distributing the survey.

Council will also work with other government agencies, support services and business networks who will use the results when planning future activities to support Ipswich businesses.”

Mayor Paul Pisassale

Survey Background

Conducted twice a year, the anonymous survey is a series of short questions asking the respondent to tick appropriate boxes reflecting their levels of business confidence for the coming six months. It takes on average 2 to 3 minutes to complete. The survey also contains a section for any additional comments that allows business to communicate anything they want with both Council and peers.

Results are collated and published through various channels including local media, council websites and email alerts to subscribers. Boardroom Business creates an in-depth report that contains economic analysis as well as a detailed breakdown of responses.

This survey is independent, but has the support of the City of Ipswich, Office of Economic Development, Chambers of Commerce, as well as many local business and industry groups. We would like to thank these groups and their members for their support.

We would especially like to acknowledge the support of the Ipswich Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Bremer Institute of TAFE and the Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning.
