Announcing the next survey in the quarterly series of the Sunshine Coast Business Confidence Surveys, an online anonymous business survey series designed specifically for the entire Sunshine Coast.

Your opinion matters! Business conditions change every day, particularly in this current climate. Imagine if we could get a snapshot of the thoughts of Coast businesses - we could all then get a significant insight into the collective thoughts of our local business community.

A few quick points regarding the survey:

• Participation can be anonymous if so desired.
• Short and quick - only 8 multiple-choice style questions!
• Survey is conducted quarterly, focusing on the quarter just past.
  Focusing on business confidence (not business data/statistics) – with the intention to compare results within and across regions, and track our own results over time.
• The data collected will be open and transparent, published online for all to see and use in own business planning activities. You can also subscribe to receive the results on the day they are released.
• Privacy is an important issue and privacy of participants will be respected at all times.
• Survey opens on Tuesday 5th January and closes Wednesday January 20th 2009
• Questions have been designed with input from AEC Group Ltd and Sunshine Coast Regional Council Economic Development Unit. AEC Group Ltd will also help us analyse the results when the survey finishes.
• Two additional survey questions have been designed to understand business response to environmental sustainability

All ultimately resulting in a better understanding of business conditions in our own region, and not having to rely on the media and/or national survey results.
