Announcing the next in the series of Moreton Bay Region Business Confidence Surveys, an online anonymous business survey series designed specifically for the entire Moreton Bay Region.

Your opinion matters!  Business conditions change every day, particularly in this current climate.  Imagine if we could get a snapshot of the thoughts of local businesses - we could all then get a significant insight into the collective thoughts of our local business community.

In the first edition of the Moreton Bay Region Business Confidence Survey of June 2011, respondents overwhelmingly stated they would retain existing staff through training and development.  Moreton Bay Regional Council provides an Online Business Directory that is free to use and provides an easy way to locate training and development business in the region. And whilst participating in the survey, leave your email address at the bottom of the survey to go into the draw to win a $100 Bunnings voucher, to be drawn randomly from all survey participants.

A few quick points regarding the survey:

• Participation can be anonymous if so desired.
• Short and quick - only 12 multiple-choice style questions.
• Focusing on business confidence (not business data/statistics) - with the intention to compare results within and across regions, and track our own results over time.
• The data collected will be open and transparent, published online for all to see and use in own business planning activities. You can also subscribe to receive the results on the day they are released.
• The contents of the first report have been shared and discussed at various local Chamber of Commerce meetings as well as at Local and State Government levels. 
• Privacy is an important issue and privacy of participants will be respected at all times.
• Survey opens on Tuesday 8th of November and closes Friday December 2nd 2011.
• Questions have been designed with input from Moreton Bay Regional Council Economic Development Unit and Regional Development Australia Moreton Bay.

All ultimately resulting in a better understanding of business conditions in our own region, and not having to rely on the media and/or national survey results.
